Palmer Water District NO 1 will be conducting a Full System Flush during the weeks of May 13th to May 29th. Flushing will commence shortly after 9am on Wednesday, May 13th and continue until the system is completed. The operators will start with Wright Street area to do a slow flush to clear that area May 13th -15th. They will then continue with the list on the back of this form. Discoloration in your water may be experienced periodically throughout this week in the entire District. Please check this website or the Palmer Water District Facebook page for updates every morning by 630am. This will list where we are starting that morning. Please run your cold water first to check if it is clear. We suggest that you obtain adequate storage of water before the flushing begins and monitor the water throughout the week. Owners of Backflow devices should be aware that the fluctuation in system pressure might cause your device/s to trip. There is also the possibility that the devices may foul in the open discharge position. The owners should monitor the devices during the week to ensure the devices are not malfunctioning. The Palmer Water District regrets any inconvenience during the flushing operation, but it is necessary for the maintenance of the system. If there are any questions regarding this matter, please contact our Chief Operator or Lead Operator at the Palmer Water District # 1, their emails are on the website, or you may call the office, and we can relay a message for them to call you when they can.
