RETIREE BENEFITS

Health Insurance Benefits for the Town of Palmer Retirees, their Spouses and Dependents
To help you stay healthy, Medicare covers many preventive services.  You pay for nothing for most covered preventive services if you get the services from a provider who accepts Medicare assignment.  For more information about Medicare covered preventive services, and to obtain a current list of covered services, please refer to the Medicare publication, Medicare and You.
The Town of Palmer offers a Medicare Enhance Preventive Plus supplemental plan including a prescription drug plan through Harvard Pilgrim Health.  While Medicare remains your primary insurer, this plan features additional coverage for preventive care and pays the cost of your Medicare deductibles and coinsurance.

Eligible retirees, their spouses and dependents who are on Medicare Enhance and the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan who wish to change their Medicare supplemental health insurance may do so during the open enrollment period from November 4, 2024 - November 30, 2024.  All changes will be effective January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025.
