Participate in our Photography Contest NOW- December 31, 2026

  We need your help sharing our Palmer Community!

What kind of photos should I submit? 

We are looking for photos showcasing our community-  scenery, popularly identifiable spaces and buildings, people, pets, events, programs, activities. 

What are the rules? 
  • Pictures must be the original work of the photographer 
  • Photographs must have been taken within the city limits of Palmer, MA. Pictures from all seasons are encouraged. 
  • If the photograph has identifiable people and was taken in a non-public space, the photographer must obtain permission to use the photograph. 
  • If the photograph contains minors (regardless of whether it was taken in a public or non-public space), the photographer must obtain permission to use the photograph. 
  • Digital photos are accepted with a limit of three (3) pictures per contestant 
  • Files should be named "firstname-lastname-1", "firstname-lastname-2," etc. 
  • Individual photos should not exceed a file size of 65 megabytes 
  • Photographs with obscene content will not be considered 
  • All entries must be submitted between October 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026 
What do I win? 

The winning photo will be featured on the cover of the Fiscal Year 2026 Annual Report.  

How do I submit entries? 

Please email your photos, their titles/general locations, and your contact information to townmanageroffice@townofpalmer.com with the subject “Photo Contest Submission”

Contestant Release 

I authorize the Town of Palmer to use any image(s) I submit of images from The Palmer Community, if my photograph is chosen as the winner of the Town of Palmer Photography Contest. 

I understand and agree that, even if the image(s) I submit are not chosen as the winner of the Town of Palmer Photography Contest, any/all image(s) I submit may be used in other Town of Palmer publications, website, videos, or film for promotional purposes with attribution. I understand and agree that any/all image(s) I submit, without personal identifying information or metadata other than photographer's name, may be disclosed to the news media and/or the public in an effort to promote environmental protection and conservation efforts.  I also understand any/all image(s) I submit will be in the public domain, and may be used for purposes other than intended or identified in this document. I understand and agree that the Town of Palmer will have no control over the re-release and use of these images by any media outlets, and cannot be responsible for their reuse and publication. 

I understand that agreeing to these terms is a condition precedent to my participation in the Town of Palmer Photography Contest. 

I understand I am not required to participate in this contest. 

By submitting an image for the purpose of entering the Town of Palmer Photography Contest, I certify that I am 18 years of age or older and I grant the Town of Palmer permission to use or disclose the image(s) as previously specified.
