Transportation

If you are in need of transportation the Palmer Council on Aging has van service available Monday - Friday 8:00 am-3:30 pm. Please remember to schedule your out-of-town van appointments for earlier in the day. The van comes off the road at 3:45 so plan accordingly.

All town residents age 60+ or under 60 and disabled are able to ride the van to places such as shopping, senior center, medical appointments, library, banks, pharmacy,etc. Long distance trips to medical appointments, malls and Walmart are also available.

PVTA Dial-A-Ride
PVTA contracts with Hulmes to provide door-to-door van service to the elderly and/or disabled individuals. Trips are scheduled by calling (413) 739-7436 or (866) 277-7741. Appointments must be made 24 hours prior to the trip. Appointments must be confirmed by telephone with the operator the day of the trip. This service can be used for any trip purpose. Door to door service is provided to and from the van to the building at each destination. Drivers will not enter homes or buildings.
