Palmer Redevelopment Authority
The Palmer Redevelopment Authority (PRA) is a five member board, four members of whom are appointed by the Town Manager, and one who is appointed by the Governor of Massachusetts. All members serve in a voluntary capacity.
The PRA meets about once a month, or as determined by need. Meetings are posted in advance on the Town of Palmer's Town Meeting Calendar website.
Mass. General Laws Chapter 121B authorizes a municipality to create a redevelopment authority for the purpose of engaging in urban renewal projects.
For a definition of urban renewal, a description of eligible activities, and the requirements for an urban renewal plan, please visit the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities Urban Renewal Plan HERE.
