DPW Grade 2 Operator

Position Objectives:

The Town of Palmer seeks a qualified candidate(s) Grade 2 Operator in the Highway Division.  This position performs a variety of functions for the Highway Division, including routine manual work performing maintenance, repair and construction tasks.  Responsibilities include the use and operation of a variety of motor vehicles and equipment, power tools and hand tools in support of the DPW Highway Division’s construction and maintenance functions.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent. A minimum of one year of relevant experience or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. 

Must posses a Massachusetts CDL License Class B minimum with air brake endorsement issued by the Registry of Motor Vehicles. 

Applicant must successfully complete Criminal Offender Record Information check.
