Palmer Fire District 1 now provides ambulance services to the community, expanding the agency's capabilities beyond traditional fire suppression and emergency response. This transition, which took effect in 2024, marked a significant change in how emergency medical services are delivered locally. Prior to 2024, ambulance services in the area were provided by a private company.
