Meetings:
The Commissioners' monthly meeting is held at the Thorndike Fire & Water District office on the Third Tuesday of the month at 4:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted. The public is welcome to attend. All special meetings will be posted 48 hours in advance at Palmer Town Hall, Thorndike Post Office, and at the Thorndike Fire & Water District office. If meetings are videotaped, they will be broadcast on M-pact, Channel 15 on the Saturday following the meetings at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Meeting videotapes are also available with computer access at M-Pact.tv. Then, go to Videos Section and find Thorndike Fire and Water. Most meetings are available.
The Thorndike Fire & Water Finance Committee. More members are needed. All meetings are open to the public. Meeting notices will be posted online as well as on the Town of Palmer website and at the Thorndike Post Office.
The hard copy of the annual 2025 Water Quality Report is available at the office. There is also a digital file online for this year's report.
Thorndike Fire & Water District sources its water from Three Rivers, Palmer, and Bondsville Water Districts. Fire protection is provided by the Palmer Fire Department.
When employment opportunities are available the postings will be at Thorndike Post Office, Palmer Town Hall, and Thorndike Fire & Water District office.
