Employees who are regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible to participate in the Town’s group health insurance plan.
The Town of Palmer also offers a number of employee-paid options, such as life insurance, short-term disability insurance, dental insurance, and a flexible spending account debit card (Flexcard). Information about the group health insurance plan and employee-paid options will be provided to new employees on or about their first day of employment with the Town.
The Town Treasurer’s office administers all benefits, and employees should contact that department with any questions they may have. It is the responsibility of each employee to notify the Town Treasurer’s office of any changes in their beneficiary for life insurance policies, and any changes in their marital or family status within thirty (30) days after marriage, divorce, birth, adoption or placement of a child for adoption.
