The Town of Palmer is accepting applications for the position of On-Call Matron for the Police Department at the hourly rate of $11.50. This is an on-call non-benefit position. Matrons will work under the direct supervision of the Officer-In-Charge of the Police Department.
Duties include, but are not limited to, maintenance of female cells, supervision of incarcerated female and high-risk male detainees, caring for lost children brought into the station and performance of other duties as may be assigned by the Chief of Police. Advanced First Aid, CPR certification and Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Council Lock-Up Suicide Prevention Certification preferred.
