Beginning July 1st, Palmer taxpayers will have the option of paying tax bills online. Effective upon their next mailing, the following tax bills may be paid using the town’s new online payment service:
- Motor Vehicle Excise
- Real Estate
- Personal Property
- Sewer Use Bills (Added 07/27/2009)
Online payment is available for all current (not past due) bills. If you have a past due bill, please call the Tax Collector’s Office at (413) 283-2601.
The new online payment system offers these benefits to taxpayers:
- Convenience! Bills can be paid, anytime, anywhere: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with Internet access.
- Electronic check (ACH) payments are free.
- Credit card transactions are available for a fee.
- Simple, user-friendly process.
- It can alleviate concerns of theft of mail.
- It assists in meeting deadlines: there is immediate confirmation providing assurance that a payment was on time.
In the future, additional bill payment types will be added.
