In Massachusetts, Sex Offenders are classified into three risk levels:
Level 1 - Low risk to reoffend
Level 2 - Moderate risk to reoffend
Level 3 - High risk to reoffend
The Police Department is authorized to release information on Level 2 and Level 3 sex offenders.
Any person over the age of 18 may obtain information on Level 2 or Level 3 sex offenders by coming to the Police Department and filling out a request form.
Anyone in the community who is likely to encounter a sex offender may be put on our mailing list. Every time a new Level 3 offender registers in our community, a mailing is sent out to those who have asked to receive it. Information is sent out by regular mail and/or email. If you wish to be placed on our mailing list, please fill out this form and return it to the Police Department.
Information on Level 3 sex offenders throughout the state can be obtained from the state's sex offender web site.
